Address Book

7-1. Address Book

Address Book helps you to enter receiver's e-mail address quickly. You can write e-mail quickly without typing e-mail address on each new mail window. To add new address, open Inbox mail window first, and click the Add button. You can also add by opening the address book and typing e-mail address directly.

You can handle multiple e-mail addresses as one Group.

Following shows the work of all buttons in the Address Book window.

Any single language is available as a Nickname. Multilingual nickname is not available.

If you check Show in Pop-up menu, you can paste Nickname easily in the To: line of new mail window clicking the icon of Address Pop-up menu. The nickname will not appear in the Address Pop-up menu, unless you check the 'Show in Popup menu' check box. At most 32 nicknames are able to appear in the Address Pop-up menu.

If you always send multilingual e-mail to certain receiver, check this multilingual user.

Every time you send multilingual e-mail, an alert will be shown. However, you can send multilingual e-mail without seeing the alert to a person who's multilingual user check box is checked.

Even the message is not multilingual, Magellan shows the alert, 'This message contains character or string of plural languages.' It is because you used character that is not suitable for e-mail. If receiver is using Magellan, the character will be sent and received correctly. But other e-mail software is impossible to show the character correctly. cf.
